Over the past two years the Funktion have fast become the most talked about party band in the North East. In a short period of time the band have quickly become a very popular wedding act, and have played such events such as Middlesbrough Music Live, Stockton Fringe Festival, the Middlesbrough Riverside stadium and many more.

There has been a lot going on for the Funktion in the last few weeks. Firstly a big thank you to everyone who came to see
Caterina's debut
at the Keys in Middlesbrough last week. We were thrilled to see the place packed out and even happier to be
asked back in December. Also many thanks to Lauren Close for the great pictures from the night.
We also enjoyed playing the Sky Ride event in Middlesbrough this weekend, sponsored by Sky Television. We are over the moon
with the reaction to the new set and look forward to seeing some familiar faces this Friday at one of our favourite local venues

The Funktion would like to announce that sadly our flamboyant frontman is departing temporarily for 6 months to travel South America. No doubt
he will bring funk to all he encounters and we all hope he has a great time...
In the meantime, The Funktion are thrilled and honoured to welcome Caterina Rea to the band. Caterina is a sensational vocalist and very much in demand on the local circuit. The Funktion are currently rehearsing a brand new set with Caterina, and she will be making her debut at the Keys in Middlesbrough on
Saturday 7th August. Make sure you do not miss this gig as it will be a blinder!
